Vice President Kamala Harris has officially been nominated as the Democratic Party's presidential nominee. The nomination follows a five-day round of online balloting by the delegates of the Democratic National Convention. According to the final vote results released late Monday by the Democratic National Committee, Harris secured 99% of the votes. Just before midnight Tuesday, the Democratic Party announced the results.
