VisitKamala Harris' Campaign Donates $500K to Al Sharpton's Nonprofit Before Oct. 20 Interview
Nov 26, 2024, 07:59 PM
MSNBC has admitted it was 'unaware' that Vice President Kamala Harris' campaign donated $500,000 to Rev. Al Sharpton’s National Action Network (NAN) nonprofit before a friendly interview with the Democratic nominee ahead of Election Day. The donation was made in two $250,000 payments. The network has not disclosed whether this constitutes a breach of its conflict of interest policy or if any disciplinary action will be taken against Sharpton. The New York Post editorial board has criticized the payment, calling it a 'move that stinks to high heaven' and suggesting it should damage the reputation of MSNBC. In addition to the donation to Sharpton's organization, the Harris campaign also gave $2.05 million to the National Urban League and hundreds of thousands to other non-profits.
