A major accident was averted in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, after the Kalindi Express collided with an LPG cylinder placed on the tracks in the Shivrajpur area. The incident occurred late Sunday night as the train was heading towards Bhiwani from Prayagraj. The loco pilot managed to stop the train in time by applying emergency brakes, preventing a potential disaster. The Railway Police Force and Government Railway Police are investigating the incident, which is being treated as a deliberate attempt to derail the train. An FIR has been filed under the Explosive Act, and authorities suspect a conspiracy.
