VisitKai-Fu Lee Launches Wanzhi, China's Answer to ChatGPT
May 13, 2024, 05:22 AM
Kai-Fu Lee, a prominent AI pioneer, has launched a new AI application named Wanzhi through his Beijing-based startup. This application, aimed at Chinese consumers, offers functionalities like creating spreadsheets, slide decks, and abstracting large texts, such as a 600K-word biography of Elon Musk. The launch is part of an effort to give China its own version of ChatGPT, as OpenAI's products are banned in the country. Lee's initiative is seen as a step to foster interest, adoption, and investment in China's AI sector. Moreover, Lee claimed that his company's latest AI model has surpassed the capabilities of OpenAI's GPT-4.
