VisitJustin Timberlake Pleads Guilty to Lesser Charge in DWI Case, Ordered to Pay Fine and Do Community Service
Sep 13, 2024, 05:00 PM
Justin Timberlake has reached a plea deal in his driving while intoxicated (DWI) case, resulting in a significant reduction of charges. Initially arrested in June in the Hamptons, Timberlake was charged with DWI but has now pleaded guilty to a lesser offense of driving while ability impaired (DWAI). As part of the plea agreement, Timberlake will pay a $500 fine, a $260 surcharge, complete 25 to 40 hours of community service, and make a public safety announcement about the dangers of drunk driving. He also faces a 90-day suspension of his New York driver’s license. Timberlake appeared in person at the Sag Harbor Village Justice Court on Long Island to enter his plea. He issued a public apology, acknowledging his mistake and urging others not to drive even after consuming a single drink.
