The banana, originally bought for 25 cents from a Bangladeshi sidewalk fruit vendor named Shah Alam, was duct-taped to a wall as part of the conceptual art piece. Sun consumed the banana at a press conference in Hong Kong, fulfilling a promise he made after the purchase. The artwork, which has sparked discussions on the value of art, was sold to Sun amidst a bidding war.
