VisitJustin Kluivert Makes Premier League History with Penalty Hat-Trick in Bournemouth's 4-2 Win Over Wolves
Nov 30, 2024, 04:53 PM
Justin Kluivert made Premier League history by becoming the first player to score a hat-trick of penalties in a single match since 1957, leading AFC Bournemouth to a 4-2 victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers at Molineux Stadium. Kluivert opened the scoring in the 3rd minute with a penalty awarded just 56 seconds into the game. Wolves' Jorgen Strand Larsen equalized minutes later, but Milos Kerkez restored Bournemouth's lead. Kluivert converted his second penalty in the 18th minute, giving Bournemouth a 3-1 advantage. In the second half, Strand Larsen scored again to bring Wolves within a goal, but Kluivert sealed the win by scoring his third penalty in the 74th minute. This is the first hat-trick of penalties in English top-flight football since Ken Barnes achieved the feat in 1957.
