VisitJSS Teachers End Two-Week Strike After Agreement with TSC on Permanent Terms
Jun 1, 2024, 11:20 AM
Junior Secondary School (JSS) teachers have called off their two-week strike after signing a return-to-work formula facilitated by the Kenya Union of Post Primary Education Teachers (KUPPET). The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has agreed to hire the teachers on permanent terms in the next fiscal year and withdraw all show-cause letters. KUPPET Secretary-General Akelo Misori confirmed the agreement, and JSS teachers representative Osoro stated that the strike was called off because an agreement was reached.
