Meanwhile, Christopher Bell's No. 20 team from Joe Gibbs Racing won the Mechanix Wear Pit Crew Challenge for the second consecutive year, clocking a pit stop time of 13.223 seconds and earning a $100,000 bonus. This victory grants Bell's team the first choice in pit-stall selection. Logano beat Brad Keselowski to secure the pole.
