President Joe Biden and first lady Jill Biden visited their granddaughter Naomi Biden at Cedars Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles on Wednesday, following her cesarean section. The visit coincided with raging wildfires nearby, which forced the cancellation of other planned events during their California trip. Naomi, the eldest daughter of Hunter Biden and his ex-wife Kathleen Buhle, and her husband Peter Neal, welcomed the Bidens' first great-grandchild. Hunter Biden, along with his second wife Melissa Cohen and their young son Beau, were also present at the hospital. The wildfires, exacerbated by high winds, led to the president spending Tuesday in his Los Angeles hotel, with no public events scheduled for Wednesday except for a departure briefing on the ground situation. The trip was initially planned as an official visit.
