Jewish Students Attacked with Bottle at University of Pittsburgh; Jarett Buba Arrested

Two Jewish students were attacked at the University of Pittsburgh campus on Friday evening by a man wielding a glass bottle. The incident occurred near the Cathedral of Learning as the students were walking to Sabbath dinner. The attacker, identified as Jarett Buba, was wearing a keffiyeh and struck the students from behind, resulting in one student suffering a concussion and the other sustaining lacerations. Buba has been arrested and faces charges of aggravated assault, recklessly endangering another person, resisting arrest, and harassment. The attack, captured on surveillance footage, has raised concerns about antisemitism on US campuses, with 44% of American Jewish students reportedly afraid to reveal their identity.
