VisitJets Trade Up, Draft FSU QB Jordan Travis at 171st as Potential Rodgers Successor
Apr 27, 2024, 07:45 PM
The New York Jets have selected Florida State quarterback Jordan Travis with the 171st overall pick in the fifth round of the 2024 NFL Draft. The Jets traded up to secure Travis, who was the 2023 ACC Player of the Year. He suffered a fractured and dislocated ankle in November, and underwent surgery 10 days later to stabilize his fibula and tibia and repair his deltoid ligament. The surgery was performed by Dr. Robert Anderson, who expects Travis to be cleared for training camp. His selection adds depth to the Jets' quarterback lineup, potentially positioning him as a future successor to Aaron Rodgers.
