VisitJets to Interview 49-Year-Old Mike Vrabel, 2021 Coach of the Year, for Head Coaching Role
Jan 3, 2025, 01:19 PM
The New York Jets are set to interview former Tennessee Titans head coach Mike Vrabel, who is 49 years old, for their head coaching vacancy. The interview is scheduled to take place at the Jets' facility in Florham Park, New Jersey. Vrabel, who was fired by the Titans after the 2023 season, spent the 2024 season as a consultant with the Cleveland Browns. His contract with the Browns expired this week, allowing him to interview for head coaching positions before the end of the regular season. The Jets are looking to replace Robert Saleh, who was fired in October after a 2-3 start to the season. Vrabel, known for his no-nonsense coaching style and success in leading the Titans to a 54-45 record and three playoff appearances, including an AFC Championship game, is considered a top candidate in this hiring cycle. He was also named the 2021 Coach of the Year.
