Jasmine Paolini has made history by reaching the Wimbledon final, becoming the first Italian woman to do so. She achieved this milestone after defeating Donna Vekic in a thrilling three-set match, with scores of 2-6, 6-4, 7-6 (10-8). This match, lasting 2 hours and 51 minutes, is the longest women's semifinal in Wimbledon history. Paolini's victory marks her second consecutive Grand Slam final appearance, following her runner-up finish at Roland Garros. She is also the first woman since Serena Williams in 2016 to reach both the Roland Garros and Wimbledon finals in the same year.
