Transport for London (TfL) has announced that the operation of London's Elizabeth Line will transition from MTR Corporation, a Hong Kong-backed operator, to a Japanese consortium. The new operator, GTS Rail Operations Limited, is a joint venture between Go Ahead Group, Tokyo Metro, and Sumitomo Corporation, beating out the incumbent. This change will take effect under a new seven-year contract, marking a significant shift in the management of one of London's key transport infrastructures.
