Japan and UAE to Begin Economic Partnership Negotiations, PM Kishida Announces, Nikkei Reports

Prime Minister Fumio Kishida of Japan announced that Japan and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) will soon begin negotiations on an Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA). Kishida expressed hope that the conclusion of the EPA would deepen economic ties between the two countries. The announcement was supported by a statement from Foreign Minister Kamikawa Yoko, issued on September 18, regarding the launch of the negotiations.
