VisitJapan's Centenarian Population Hits Record High of 95,000, Majority Women

The number of centenarians in Japan has reached a record high, with more than 95,000 people aged 100 or older, according to government data released on Tuesday. This marks the 54th consecutive year of increase in the number of centenarians in the country. Notably, nearly 90 percent of these centenarians are women. The health ministry reported that the total number stood at 95,119 as of Sunday.
