Jannik Sinner, the 23-year-old World No.1, successfully defended his Australian Open men's singles title, defeating Alexander Zverev in straight sets 6-3, 7-6(4), 6-3 in the final held at Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne. Sinner did not face a single break point during the match, showcasing his dominance. This victory marks his third consecutive Grand Slam title on hard courts and extends his winning streak to 21 matches. He has now achieved 10 consecutive straight-sets victories over Top 10 opponents, becoming the first player in the Open Era to do so. By winning his third Grand Slam, Sinner becomes the first Italian to surpass Nicola Pietrangeli's record of two major titles.
