VisitJackson Chourio Becomes Youngest Player in MLB History with 20/20 Season, Brewers Win 3-0
Sep 13, 2024, 03:52 AM
Jackson Chourio has made Major League Baseball history by becoming the youngest player to achieve a 20/20 season, recording 20 home runs and 20 stolen bases at the age of 20. This milestone places him alongside Vada Pinson and Mike Trout as the only players to accomplish this feat in their age-20 season. Chourio's performance has been particularly impressive since June 2, with a .310/.368/.541 batting line, 14 home runs, 13 stolen bases, and a 3.4 fWAR, ranking him 13th in MLB over that span. Initially, through his first 51 games, he had a .207/.251/.323 batting line, 5 home runs, 7 stolen bases, and a 0.1 fWAR. In addition, Chourio's contributions helped the Milwaukee Brewers secure a 3-0 victory over the San Francisco Giants, clinching a series win as they head into a critical stretch of games against the Arizona Diamondbacks and Philadelphia Phillies.
