Israeli government officials are planning to annex and impose sovereignty over the Jordan Valley and the settlements of Gush Etziot and Ma’ale Adumim in the West Bank following Trump's election victory. Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar stated that the creation of a sovereign Palestinian state was not realistic. Far-right Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich has instructed preparations for extending Israeli sovereignty into the West Bank, aiming for implementation in 2025.
