Jun 3, 2024, 06:02 PM
The Israeli military has confirmed the deaths of four hostages held by Hamas in Gaza. The deceased include British-Israeli citizen Nadav Popplewell, 51, who was abducted from Kibbutz Nirim on October 7 along with his mother, Channah Peri. Channah was released in November, but Nadav was murdered in captivity. The other three hostages, Chaim Peri, 79, Amiram Cooper, 84, and Yoram Metzger, 80, were also confirmed dead. The hostages were believed to have been held together in the Khan Younis area. The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) based their confirmation on new intelligence and are investigating the circumstances of their deaths. An IDF spokesman mentioned that all four hostages had appeared in a Hamas video.
