VisitIsraeli Forces Withdraw from Kamal Adwan Hospital in Beit Lahia, Arrest 100 Suspected Hamas Militants Amid Terror Claims
Oct 28, 2024, 10:00 AM
Israeli forces have withdrawn from the Kamal Adwan Hospital in Beit Lahia, northern Gaza, after a days-long raid that resulted in significant destruction and casualties. The Israeli military asserted that Hamas militants had been using the hospital for terrorist activities, including operating from within the facility and utilizing ambulances to transport wounded operatives. During the operation, Israeli troops reportedly arrested around 100 suspected Hamas militants and detained dozens of male medical staff and some patients. The raid also led to the death of the son of the hospital's director, who sustained gunshot wounds to the head. Airstrikes during the siege killed dozens in the city, and the hospital, one of northern Gaza's last functioning medical facilities, was left struggling to operate amid catastrophic damage.
