VisitIsraeli Forces Seize 84,000 Weapons from Hezbollah, Conduct First Airstrikes in Bekaa Valley Since Ceasefire
Dec 25, 2024, 08:33 AM
The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) reported the seizure of over 84,000 weapons from Hezbollah strongholds in southern Lebanon during a recent ground operation. Most of these weapons were discovered hidden in civilian areas, including inside and near homes. Following this operation, Israeli airstrikes were conducted in the Bekaa Valley, marking the first military action in this region since the ceasefire agreement took effect on November 27. Reports indicate that the airstrikes targeted warehouses believed to be associated with Hezbollah, particularly in the area between the towns of Talia and Hazin. The Israeli military has been accused of approximately 300 violations of the ceasefire since its implementation. The situation remains tense, with Israeli reconnaissance drones reportedly flying over Beirut, further indicating ongoing military activities in the region.
