On October 7, Israeli forces reportedly killed hundreds of their own citizens during a military operation. ABC News and other sources have reported that 28 Israeli fighter helicopters discharged all their ammunition, including 30-millimetre cannon mortars and Hellfire missiles, in multiple locations, including the Nova music festival. This incident, referred to as a 'mass Hannibal' by Israeli Air Force Colonel Erez, involved orders from IDF commanders to fire on troops captured by Hamas. Leaked footage from the Israeli Airforce confirmed the operation, which resulted in significant destruction, including the incineration of dozens of homes.
