VisitIsraeli Airstrikes Destroy Four S-300 Defense Systems and Largest Radar in Iran's Oil Infrastructure
Oct 27, 2024, 02:30 AM
Israeli airstrikes on Iran early Saturday resulted in the destruction of all four remaining S-300 air defense systems, which were crucial for protecting Tehran and key nuclear and energy facilities. The attacks also targeted several critical oil and petrochemical refineries, as well as systems safeguarding a large gas field and a major port in southern Iran. In addition to the S-300 systems, the strikes reportedly destroyed S-200 systems, the largest radar in Iran with a 1,000 km range, and all 16 sites of ballistic missile fuel mixers, including the only fuel mixer manufacturing plant. These actions have escalated tensions between the two nations, with both Iranian and Israeli defense officials confirming the extent of the damage.
