VisitIsraeli Airstrike Kills Hamas Economy Minister in Deir al-Balah Yesterday
Aug 4, 2024, 05:01 PM
An Israeli airstrike has killed Abdel-Fattah al-Zuraiki, the Deputy Minister of Economy in Gaza, along with his mother in their home in Deir al-Balah, central Gaza Strip. Reports indicate that al-Zuraiki, also known as Abdel Fattah al-Zarii, was a senior member of Hamas and involved in its manufacturing division, which focuses on increasing Hamas's weapons capabilities. The IDF confirmed the strike, stating that al-Zuraiki played a significant role in directing Hamas's military efforts and was responsible for liaising with terror groups abroad. The IDF also noted that al-Zuraiki had stopped humanitarian aid from reaching Gazan civilians. The strike, which occurred yesterday, is part of ongoing Israeli military operations targeting senior Hamas figures in Gaza.
