VisitIsraeli Air Force Strikes Dozen Hezbollah Command Centers in Tyre After Evacuation Orders
Oct 23, 2024, 08:57 AM
The Israeli Air Force has launched a series of airstrikes on the southern Lebanese city of Tyre, targeting around a dozen Hezbollah command centers, including those belonging to the elite Radwan Force and the Southern Front unit. The strikes followed evacuation orders issued by the Israeli military, urging residents to move north of the Awali and Litany Rivers. The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) stated that precision strikes were used to minimize civilian casualties, although the area is densely populated and home to thousands of displaced Lebanese. The airstrikes have caused significant damage and prompted a large-scale evacuation of residents from Tyre, a historic port city and one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world. Additional strikes were reported in the Qasimia area within the Tyre district.
