Israel, U.S. Launch Western Erez Crossing for Aid in Northern Gaza

The Israeli military, in coordination with the United States and the Defense Ministry's Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories (COGAT), has opened a new crossing called the Western Erez Crossing. Located in the Zikim area, this crossing is specifically designed to facilitate the increased delivery of humanitarian aid into the northern Gaza Strip. The crossing was operational from Sunday morning, with the initial transfer including dozens of trucks carrying flour from the port of Ashdod to the World Food Programme (WFP).
