Israel has released 90 Palestinian prisoners, all women or minors, in the first exchange under a ceasefire agreement with Hamas. This action followed the release of three Israeli hostages by Hamas, marking the initial phase of the truce. The Palestinian prisoners were freed from Israel's Ofer prison, located just outside the West Bank city of Ramallah, and were greeted by crowds upon their release. The ceasefire agreement, which began on Sunday, is set to facilitate the release of 33 Israeli hostages over the next six weeks in exchange for nearly 2,000 Palestinian prisoners and detainees.
