Israel Proposes Safe Passage for Sinwar Out of Gaza in Exchange for Hostages

Reports have surfaced regarding Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar's plans to escape Gaza and smuggle Israeli hostages to Iran via the Philadelphi Corridor. The veracity of this story, initially reported by Britain's Jewish Chronicle, is being questioned, including doubts about the credibility of its author. In response, Israel has proposed giving Sinwar safe passage out of Gaza in exchange for the release of hostages and Hamas relinquishing control of the strip. This proposal comes amid efforts by the US, Qatar, and Egypt to negotiate a new cease-fire deal. Hostage envoy Gal Hirsch discussed the situation in an interview with Bloomberg.
