VisitIsrael Launches Second Airstrikes in Yemen After Houthi Missile Hits Tel Aviv
Dec 21, 2024, 08:05 PM
Israeli airstrikes on Yemen have killed at least nine people, targeting sites used by Houthi forces for military operations. The Israeli military conducted strikes on Yemen's rebel-held capital, Sanaa, and the port city of Hodeida over several days, in response to Houthi missile attacks that targeted central Israel, including a missile that landed in Tel Aviv early Saturday. Israeli army spokesman Daniel Hagari stated that the targeted sites included ports and energy infrastructure, specifically the ports of Hudayda, Salif, and the Ras Isa oil terminal on the Red Sea, as well as governing structures in Sanaa. This marks the second time in three days that Israel has attacked Houthi targets in Yemen, reflecting escalating tensions between Israel and the Iran-backed Houthi forces, also known as Ansarallah.
