An Israeli airstrike on a Beirut apartment building has killed three senior members of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP). The attack, which occurred in the Cola area of central Beirut at midnight on Sunday, marks the first Israeli strike within Beirut city limits since October 7. The PFLP identified the deceased as Muhammad Abdel-Aal (Abu Ghazi), a member of the group's Political Bureau and head of the Military Security Department; Imad Odeh (Abu Ziad), a member of the Central Committee and head of the Military Operations Unit; and Abdel-Rahman Abdel-Aal, a member of the group's Military Security Department. A fourth person was also reported killed in the strike. The airstrike was part of a series of overnight Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) strikes throughout Lebanon amid escalating hostilities.
