VisitIsrael Intercepts Houthi Missile from Yemen, Injuries Reported Amid Gaza Conflict
Jan 3, 2025, 02:56 AM
Air raid sirens sounded across central and southern Israel early Friday morning due to a missile launched from Yemen, according to the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF). The missile was intercepted, and the IDF reported that shrapnel from the interception fell in the area of Modi'in in central Israel. The Magen David Adom emergency service reported that 12 people were injured while rushing to shelters, and nine others suffered from anxiety attacks. The missile launch was attributed to Yemen's Houthi rebels, who have been increasing their attacks on Israel in recent weeks in solidarity with Palestinians amid the ongoing conflict in Gaza.
