VisitIsrael Detains Four Suspects, Strikes Hezbollah Target Amid Ceasefire Violation Claims
Nov 28, 2024, 12:37 PM
Israel and Hezbollah are accusing each other of violating a ceasefire agreement that took effect on November 27 in southern Lebanon. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) reported firing warning shots and conducting airstrikes against Hezbollah targets after detecting suspicious activity and breaches of the ceasefire. The IDF stated that they identified several vehicles and suspects entering restricted areas, leading to confrontations and the detention of four suspects who approached Israeli troops. Additionally, the IDF claimed to have struck over 12,500 Hezbollah targets over the past 14 months, including Hezbollah's largest precision-guided missile production site near the Syrian border. On the other hand, the Lebanese army accused Israel of violating the ceasefire multiple times, including conducting airstrikes and firing weapons into Lebanese territory. The IDF confirmed striking a Hezbollah rocket storage facility in southern Lebanon, marking the first such airstrike since the ceasefire took effect. Despite the ceasefire agreement, tensions remain high as both sides exchange accusations.
