VisitIsrael Attacks Houthi-Controlled Hodeidah Port Amid Retaliation for Missile Strikes on Tel Aviv
Sep 29, 2024, 02:16 PM
The Israeli Air Force has launched airstrikes against Houthi-controlled targets in the port city of Hodeidah on Yemen's west coast. The airstrikes are occurring now, with large explosions reported in the area. The strikes come in response to multiple ballistic missile attacks by the Iranian-backed Houthis on Tel Aviv and Ben Gurion Airport in recent days, including three missile attacks in the last ten days. The Houthis fired missiles over the weekend targeting central Israel. The port of Hodeidah, which is reportedly used by the Houthis and Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) for weapons smuggling, is being targeted.
