VisitIsrael Approves UN's Armored Vehicles and 127 New Trucks for Gaza Aid
Jul 15, 2024, 09:41 PM
Israel has approved the entry of more armored vehicles and personal protection equipment for United Nations humanitarian aid operations in the Gaza Strip. This decision comes amid increasing lawlessness in the region. The UN announced it will bring in more equipment to support its aid workers. Israel has been urging the UN to scale up its aid distribution capabilities, approving the entry of 127 new trucks into Gaza. However, only 44 trucks have been acquired by the UN so far. On July 15, 10 empty trucks were transferred to Gaza to enhance the UN aid agencies' logistic capacities.
