Oct 8, 2024, 07:54 PM
The Irvine, California Police Department has unveiled the world's first in-duty Tesla Cybertruck, dubbed the 'Cyberbeast,' which will be part of its Drug Abuse Resistance Education (DARE) unit. The $150,000 vehicle, equipped with aftermarket upgrades and components from Whelen Engineering, will be used to respond to emergencies and assist the community. This initiative marks the beginning of deploying turnkey Cybertruck police cars, produced by Upfit Tesla's police division. The Irvine PD hopes the new vehicle will 'start conversations' within the community.
