Iranian Pilgrims Defy Saudi Ban with Palestinian Flag and Political Slogans on Mount Arafah During Hajj

Iranian pilgrims have sparked controversy during the Hajj pilgrimage in Saudi Arabia by raising political slogans and symbols. Despite Saudi Arabia's ban on political expressions during Hajj, Iranian pilgrims chanted 'Death to America' and 'Death to Israel' and displayed the Palestinian flag and Dome of the Rock on Mount Arafah. On the Day of Arafah, they also displayed a large piece of text that said 'disassociation from the Polytheists' and chanted 'help from Allah and a near victory.' Iran's Supreme Leader Khamenei had urged pilgrims to dissociate from Israel and the US, emphasizing political messages. These actions have raised tensions between Iran and Saudi Arabia, highlighting ongoing geopolitical conflicts.
