VisitIranian Hackers Sent Stolen Trump Info to Biden Team in June and July, FBI Confirms
Sep 20, 2024, 03:24 PM
Iranian hackers have reportedly sent emails containing stolen information from former President Donald Trump's campaign to individuals associated with President Joe Biden's campaign in June and July. The FBI and other federal agencies have confirmed that the hackers sent unsolicited emails in an effort to interfere with the election. The White House has stated that President Biden only became aware of the situation recently and that the Biden campaign did not use the materials. Vice President Kamala Harris' campaign also denied using any of the stolen information. The FBI noted there is 'no indication' those individuals replied. White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre declined to address the reports. The House Judiciary Committee, led by Chairman Jim Jordan, has launched an inquiry into the incident and has requested an unclassified briefing from the FBI.
