VisitIranian-Backed Hezbollah Launches Major Drone Attack on Israeli Reconnaissance Center in Golan Heights on July 7
Jul 9, 2024, 10:47 AM
Hezbollah, the Iranian-backed terrorist group, has launched a significant drone attack on an Israeli reconnaissance center in Mount Hermon, located in the Israeli-occupied Syrian Golan Heights, on July 7. This operation, considered the largest by Hezbollah's air forces since October 8, marks the second time this base has been targeted since the 1973 war, with the first attack occurring on April 14. The drones, nicknamed 'Hoopoe', successfully bypassed Israeli air defenses and returned to Lebanon undetected. Hezbollah has also released footage showing sensitive Israeli military and infrastructure sites, including Iron Dome batteries, command centers, ammo depots, and barracks. The footage, captured by the 'Hudhud' UAV, underscores the group's ability to penetrate Israeli airspace and gather intelligence on key military positions, including Haifa.
