VisitIran Delivers Over 200 Fath-300 and Fath-360 Ballistic Missiles to Russia, Boosting Military Capability
Sep 7, 2024, 08:08 AM
Iran has delivered over 200 Fath-300 and Fath-360 short-range ballistic missiles to Russia, enhancing Russia's military capabilities in its conflict with Ukraine. The shipment, which arrived on September 4, 2024, via a Russian vessel to an undisclosed port on the Caspian Sea, includes missiles with ranges of up to 120 km and warheads weighing 150 kg. This transfer signals a broader strategic partnership between Iran and Russia. The missiles are expected to allow Russia to concentrate its Iskander missiles on deeper targets within Ukraine. Iranian instructors will reportedly train Russian forces on the use of these missiles. According to Sky News, military analyst Sean Bell noted that the Fath-360 is referred to as the 'Iranian HIMARS' due to its similarity to guided missile artillery.
