VisitIran Bans Pagers and Walkie-Talkies on Flights, Except Mobile Phones
Oct 12, 2024, 12:25 PM
On October 12, Iran's Civil Aviation Organization announced a ban on bringing electronic communication devices, such as pagers and walkie-talkies, into airplane cabins or checked baggage, except for mobile phones. This decision comes weeks after deadly sabotage attacks in Lebanon, which were blamed on Israel and targeted members of the Iran-allied Hezbollah group. The ban applies to both domestic and international flights. Local media reported that airlines in the region, including Emirates, have implemented similar measures.
