IOC Approves Creation of Olympic Esports Games, Debuting in 2025 in Saudi Arabia

The International Olympic Committee (IOC) has officially approved the creation of the Olympic Esports Games (OEG). The decision was made unanimously at the 142nd IOC Session in Paris on Tuesday. The first edition of the Olympic Esports Games will debut in 2025 in Saudi Arabia. The proposal was endorsed by the IOC executive board. IOC President Thomas Bach described the vote as historic, marking a new era for the organization.
