VisitIntel Launches Core Ultra 2 (Lunar Lake) Processors with 16% Gaming Lead at IFA 2024
Sep 3, 2024, 04:02 PM
Intel has officially launched its Intel Core Ultra 2 (Lunar Lake) processors at the IFA 2024 event in Berlin. The new processors are being touted as the most efficient x86 processors ever, addressing previous instability issues seen in the 13th and 14th Gen processors. Intel's Jim Johnson emphasized that Lunar Lake systems shatter the myth that x86 can't achieve power efficiency and long battery life. The processors are expected to transform the PC space, with key features including Microsoft's Copilot AI, which will be available on new Intel laptops starting in November. The launch event also highlighted the competitive performance of Lunar Lake against AMD and Qualcomm, with Intel claiming a 16% lead over AMD's HX 370 in gaming performance. The processors are manufactured by TSMC, marking a significant milestone for Intel. Additionally, Qualcomm's Snapdragon X Series and Intel's Copilot+ PC were featured prominently. The IFA 2024 event runs from September 6-10.
