'Inside Out 2,' a Disney / Pixar film, is tracking to earn over $90 million on its domestic box office opening weekend, potentially the highest of the year. The film earned $13 million from Thursday previews, the highest preview showing of 2024, and the second highest all-time for an animated film, only behind 'The Incredibles 2.' The movie is expected to debut with over $100 million domestically. In comparison, 'Toy Story 4' opened with $12 million in previews and went on to earn $120 million in its opening weekend. 'Inside Out 2' has already grossed $35 million globally from previews alone. The film had a budget of $200 million. It surpassed 'Dune: Part Two' for the best preview showing at the box office this year.
