A joint operation by the Indian Army and J&K Police in the Keran Sector of Kupwara district, North Kashmir, has led to the recovery of a substantial cache of arms, ammunition, and explosives. The operation was based on specific intelligence inputs provided by a Special Election Observer and intelligence agencies in Srinagar. Recovered items include AK-47 rounds, IEDs, RPGs, grenades, and hand grenades. The cache was found hidden at the base of a tree. Authorities believe these munitions were intended to cause a sensational attack and instill fear and panic prior to the upcoming elections.
