VisitIndia to Sign Strategic 10-Year Chabahar Port Deal with Iran on Monday

India is set to sign a 10-year agreement with Iran to manage the Chabahar port, a strategic asset providing direct sea-land access to Afghanistan and Central Asia, bypassing Pakistan. The deal, reported by Economic Times and expected to be finalized on Monday, is part of India's broader strategy to enhance trade connections within the region. Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal has traveled to Iran to sign the pact, which is expected to facilitate the flow of goods between India, Iran, Afghanistan, and Central Asia. External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar confirmed the upcoming signing.
