VisitIndia's NTPC and BHEL to Set Up 800 MW AUSC Thermal Power Plant with Higher Efficiency and Government Support

In the latest announcement from the Indian government, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has revealed that a joint venture between NTPC Limited and Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) will establish an advanced ultra supercritical (AUSC) thermal power plant. The project, which aims to set up an 800 MW commercial thermal plant, is part of the Union Budget 2024 initiatives. The government will provide fiscal support for this venture, which is expected to enhance efficiency in thermal power generation. Shares of NTPC and BHEL have seen a significant jump following the announcement. The plant is expected to have higher efficiency.
