VisitIllinois Transfer Coleman Hawkins Commits to Kansas State with Record $2M NIL Deal, Averaging 12.1 Points and 6.1 Rebounds
Jun 14, 2024, 02:42 PM
Illinois transfer forward Coleman Hawkins has committed to Kansas State, marking a significant addition for the Wildcats. Hawkins, who averaged 12.1 points and 6.1 rebounds last season and shot 36.9% from 3, is believed to have secured a college basketball record $2 million in NIL money. The deal was negotiated by Nate Conley of Court XIV and Aaron Turner of Verus Basketball. Hawkins, a 6-foot-10 forward, was the top available player in the transfer portal. His commitment completes Kansas State's roster, giving them a full allotment of 13 scholarship players. The Wildcats, led by coach Jerome Tang, are expected to move into the Preseason Top 25 Poll. Tang has now added eight players from the portal this spring.
