IIT Bombay Fines Students Rs 1.2 Lakh for 'Raahovan' Play on Ramayana

IIT Bombay has fined students up to Rs 1.2 lakh each for staging a controversial play titled 'Raahovan,' which is loosely based on the Indian epic 'Ramayana.' The play was deemed 'derogatory' towards the characters Ram and Sita, leading to significant backlash. In addition to the fines, the Gymkhana awards for the students involved have been withheld. The IIT-B administration convened a disciplinary committee to address the incident.
